Legitimation.nu / Registered Professions - a faster way for foreign nurses and doctors to find work within their professions
We are aware that it could be very complicated for individuals with a non-European background in health care professions to get a Swedish registration and licence.
We also know from experience that doctors from other European countries quickly learn Swedish and are able to start work in health care after just a few months.
This is the basis for the project Registered Professions in Region Västra Götaland.
The project is aimed at doctors and nurses with a degree from abroad who are in need of language training and want to complement their professional education or have their degree validated.
We are trying to create more flexible and individually adapted systems, to offer opportunities for training and stimulate the individuals own motivation.
Results from the project will be referable to people in other registered professions with similar needs.
